MISSION

Hub Youth Cycling’s mission is to create an accessible, year-round youth cycling community in Tennessee that inspires personal growth, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement through health, service, and education.

VISION

We envision a Tennessee where every young person—regardless of background, school, or income—has access to safe cycling opportunities, positive mentors, and experiences that build character, leadership, and lifelong wellness.

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

Founded on March 1, 2018, Hub Youth Cycling is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to removing barriers to youth participation in cycling and community engagement. We serve youth across diverse geographic regions and school communities, welcoming participants regardless of team affiliation, school enrollment, or prior experience.

Cycling is our vehicle—but our focus is developing well-rounded humans. Through structured rides, mentorship, service projects, and educational programming, youth build resilience, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Each connection strengthens bodies, builds confidence, and fosters a spirit of service—creating healthier and more connected families and communities.

WHAT HUB PROVIDES

Subsidized Cycling, Education, and Service Opportunities

Hub Youth Cycling provides affordable and inclusive opportunities for youth to participate in cycling, education, and service activities year-round. Programming includes structured rides, coaching, clinics, and service projects that teach skills in health, fitness, teamwork, and community engagement. Subsidized entry fees and reduced-cost programs ensure that financial barriers do not prevent participation.

LOANER BIKES AND LOW-COST OR FREE BIKE REPAIR AND PARTS

To remove access barriers, the organization maintains a fleet of loaner bicycles for youth who do not own or cannot afford a bike. In addition, volunteer mechanics and community partners provide free or low-cost bike repairs and parts, ensuring all participants have safe and reliable equipment for riding and learning.

Support Services for Cycling, Service, and Educational Events and Activities

Hub Youth Cycling provides event logistics management and on-site resources including tents, tools, mechanics, licensed coaches, and nutrition. These support services reduce costs for families and create a safe, well-organized environment for youth to train, ride, and learn in a supportive community setting.
