Hub Loves Our Seniors!

Saying goodbye to our graduating Hub riders isn’t easy. Their dedication, sportsmanship, and positive leadership have shaped who we are as a team. As mentors and role models, their impact will continue to resonate long after they’ve moved on to what’s next.

While we’ll miss them deeply, we’re also incredibly excited to see what lies ahead. As they take on new challenges and begin their next journey, we’ll be cheering them on—knowing they’ll carry the Hub pillars with them every step of the way.

Senior Spotlight: Will Smart

How long have you been riding?

I’ve been riding a bike since I could talk but I officially started with Hub Youth in 2024 when my dad got me to join the team.

How has Hub inspired you?

Hub inspired me to get out and enjoy and respect nature more. It also inspired me to become a better teammate and a better person. Races like 24 Hours of the old Pueblo really help teach someone how to be a better teammate and work as a team to tackle a huge race. Further all the opportunities for volunteering and community service have helped me build a deeper relationship with not only the cycling community but also many other people who I wouldn’t have met otherwise. An organization helps build a person’s character through the bike while having fun.

How will you carry the Hub pillars (health/service/education) forward with you?

Going on now from Hub I feel like I can take what I have learned and apply it to not only other cycling groups but also other sports and groups that I might come across.
